Declan Drumm Sullivan Memorial Fund
On October 27, 2010, our family lost Declan Drumm Sullivan in a tragic accident that occurred on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. We created this site and the Declan Drumm Sullivan Memorial Fund immediately following his death to memorialize Declan’s life, as well as to support Chicago non-profits working in the areas of education and community service, specifically Horizons for Youth.
Declan loved Notre Dame, and he felt privileged to have a role videotaping the football team’s games and practices. The grief we feel is tempered by the knowledge that Dec was doing what he loved in the place he very much wanted to be.
We hope this site will help support those causes important to Declan and to our family. We also hope this site will enable those who knew Declan to remember the joy he brought to their lives.
Note: On Thursday, March 7, 2019 Carmel Catholic High School will host a special viewing of the ESPN documentary, Declan: My Time on Earth. The event—held in the Auditorium—is open to the public at no cost, and will begin with the airing of the ESPN documentary, followed by a discussion between Barry Sullivan and Horizons for Youth CEO, Audrey George, moderated by Brad Bonham (President, Carmel Catholic High School).
